We are a network of producers who promote sustainable production systems
Promoting sustainable food, fiber and energy production systems through innovation, science and networked knowledge management.
More than 30 years of history developing production systems, that regenerate the soil and the environment. Nearly 1,800 partners spread over almost 11 million hectares in Argentina, South America and Africa, using the best technology, knowledge and networked innovation.
Maintaining the essence of our pioneers, we are an innovative network that promotes exchange, opens its fields, participates in trials, maintains international connections, with public and private organizations, to achieve a comprehensive development of the country.
The world is facing a growing global food, fiber and energy demand, and the challenge of the need of agriculture land.
However, with the use of technology, no-tillage techniques, with the construction of living and diverse systems, applying the networked knowledge and experience of our producers, we are able to increase that productive potential, being more efficient in the use of resources and environmentally friendly, i.e., emitting a smaller carbon footprint.
1970 - 1980 - First no-tillage trials in Argentina carried out by those who nowadays are Aapresid's pioneers.
1976 - 77 - First no-tillage trials in the Pampas region.
1989 - In a famous meeting in Arequito, province of Santa Fe, Víctor Trucco, as president, and a group of producers gave birth to AAPRESID.
1990 - 1st Mini Congress (Rosario) with an attendance of 150 producers. A space for the promotion of no-till farming and the creation of spaces for interaction and exchange.
1990 - The first Regional Group was North of Buenos Aires, which grouped Pergamino and Alcorta, and emerged in the early 1990s.
1993 - First UPA Conference “Un Productor en Acción”, at “La Lucía” owned by Jorge Romagnoli, in Monte Buey (Córdoba). Nearly 800 people attended.
1993/95 - Aapresid Joven was founded. An exchange space for students and young producers. Together with the Aapresid's pioneers, they introduced the no-tillage system into the universities.
2011 - A new program launched in collaboration with academic and scientific institutions, specialists, technicians, and companies.
Today, it has evolved into the PlagueManagement Network (REM).
2013 - Lavras do Sul becomes Aapresid's first International Regional Group. Brazilian agronomist Gerson Herter was one of the key mentors behind its creation.
2018 - The first network is established to generate knowledge and promote the exchange of experiences related to service crops in different environments and production systems across the country.
2022 - A network is created to assess the current status of Soil Organic Carbon (SOC) and the Carbon Footprint of various production systems in the country, as well as to develop and share management strategies that support the fight against climate change.
2023 - A training space aimed at enhancing and developing new skills for fieldwork and decision-making, with a focus on systems thinking, competitiveness, and the sustainable use of resources.
Present - We are a network of more than 1,800 members that promotes Aapresid's mission to position our country and the production system as a technological and sustainability reference.
